My name is Cassie Kennedy.
Artist, Trainer, Coach, Mom...
I graduated from Cornell University in 2011 with a degree in Nutritional and Exercise Sciences and began working in the field as a nutritionist, personal trainer, and yoga instructor. I took a job “on the side” working with dogs, which gradually became my main focus and lasted almost 9 years. With covid came a transition away from in-person training, which presented an opportunity to revive my art. I now teach pottery full-time.
These all seem like such different areas of expertise, however I’ve realized that all of my work is inter-related. I believe that nutrition, fitness, and creativity are integral parts of balancing the emotional self, which is really the ultimate objective in training dogs. Working with our dogs is both a challenge and an opportunity to become better ourselves.
What I hope to share is how taking a simple, subtle, and slow path has helped me live with my pets (and people) in a better way. When dog training becomes more than dog training, we learn that these animals are our greatest teachers.
